"A portrait of my children, once a week, every week in 2013"
Ruby:: Inspecting her scone mixture
Jenson:: For the past couple of weeks he has sat beside me at the kitchen bench in the morning and asked to write, as I was writing. On the weekend I got him his own "writing book". He's been practicing letters and asking what letters looked like to write his own name. He then screws up the paper and wants to throw them in the fire!
Mila:: She has been attached to "Monkey" since the time that she could hold it. She used to rub the tag. The tag is long gone, but she still rubs the exact same spot, in the exact way, as if the tag were still there.
As usual, joining the ever lovely Jodi at Che and Fidel.

IN THESE SMALL HOURS
The last couple of weeks have rolled into one, so here is a collection of the past weeks stills. Our lives are made in these small hours.
:: Quiet time activities
:: Painting's drying, by Jenson. A school of flying fish in a colourful sea, and a self portrait on colourful grass
:: Cracking eggs
:: Orthodox Easter
:: Blooms
:: Morning glow
:: Sewing
:: Making lunches
:: Autumns shades and shadows
:: I ask them to stand by a wall. This is what I get.
:: Perfect weather for school cross country
:: Playing with stones is just as fun as the sandpit.
:: Mother's Day cards

I'M GOING TO SWEDEN!
If anyone wants to know where I'm going to be this weekend, I'm just letting you know, I'm going to Sweden! Malmo, Sweden to be precise. With none other than Julia Zemiro, who is like a fine wine, she just keeps getting better.
Not really, I wish I was. I'd love to be soaking up all that Scandinavian style.
But I will be there in spirit, soaking up style on a whole different level. That of Eurovision. Oh yeah, I can see a lot of wind machines, dry ice, costume reveals, and dramatic choreography. not to mention some pretty special song writing in my near future.
Who's excited?
I'm Excited!

FROM THE MOUTH
On Sunday we were driving to my In-Laws. Jenson had fallen asleep, and after a short while woke and sat quietly. When he spoke the conversation went like this.
Jenson: Mum, who am I going to marry. I don't have anyone to marry.Me: That's ok, you'll meet someone, when you get big like Daddy
Jenson: I know, maybe I could go into the city to meet a lady.... Or maybe I could go to Paris.
I really do love the mind of my young man. He's a thinker, with a huge imagination.

"A portrait of my children once a week, every week in 2013."
Mother's Day with my babies.
Johnny tried and tried to get the perfect happy family portrait. All looking, all smiling.
I think these portraits are perfect. Authentically representing the crazy that is my family.
It may be one to reenact in 20 years.
As always, joining Jodi's 52 project.

HAPPY AS A PIG IN MUD
I've been waiting, searching, asking, and my patience has finally paid off, in the form of $1.99 a kilo.
No spoon required. Just cut, squeeze and suck.
Happy days.
